The Totes and Pallets management table allows you to make adjustments to tote or pallet balances for customers and vendors. In addition, activity records can be viewed and various reports can be printed within the Totes and Pallets option.
In order to track totes and pallets by customer, at least one of the "Ask Totes and Ask Pallets" fields for Sales Orders (SO= Sales Orders), Order Control (OC = Order Control) and/or Shipping (SH = Shipping) must be set to Y (Y=yes) in Shipping Options. The "What Prints" on settings in Shipping Options also needs to be set, by form, in order to print the In/Out and remaining balance on sales order, bill of lading, and invoice forms. If set to Y (Y=yes) a Totes and Pallets window will appear when the sales order is finished, allowing the user to enter the number of totes received in the Totes In column and the number of totes shipped in the Totes Out column.
In order to track totes and pallets by vendor, at least one of the "Totes and Pallets" fields for Purchasing (PU = Purchasing), Purchase Orders (PO = Purchases Orders), Receiving Purchase Orders (PR = Receiving Purchase Orders), and/or Complete Purchase Orders (PC = Complete Purchase Orders) must be set to Y (Y = yes) in Purchasing Options. The "What Prints On" settings in Purchasing Options also need to be set by purchase order form to print the In/Out and remaining balance on the form. If set to Y (Y = yes) a Totes and Pallets window will appear when the purchase order is finished, allowing the user to enter the number of totes received in the Totes In column and the number of totes shipped in the Totes Out column.
If the user needs to enter the totes and pallets when finishing a sales order in Sales Orders, Order Control, or Shipping and needs to enter the totes and pallets when finishing a purchase order in Purchasing, Purchase Orders, Receiving Purchase Orders, and Completing Purchase Orders, the totes and pallets override for the various functions must be set per user in User Options.

Note: The tote and pallet management options in this screen are identical (although totes and pallets are configured separately). The remainder of this section will refer to totes throughout, but is equally applicable to pallets.
2. After selecting the TOTES or PALLETS option a Select An Option window appears and displays the following choices (based on whether you selected TOTES or PALLETS):
